OJI PAPÉIS ESPECIAIS Ltda., a paper producer located in Piracicaba, acknowledges its commitment to the continuous improvement of the operational and environmental performance, quality of products and of health and safety, acting with the following principles:

1. Guarantee a high performance of the management system and sustainability in processes through the breakdown of the strategic guidelines for all the levels, monitoring and evaluating goals and objectives.

2. Act in compliance with the legislation, other requirements and norms of the organization related to quality, environmental and health and safety aspects.

3. Develop the business in harmony with the environment, focusing on the prevention of pollution and the reduction of effluent emissions and waste generation.

4. Build relationships of trust with stakeholders and promote human and social development.

5. Develop skills and competencies of the professionals to ensure excellence in results.

6. Offer products and services that allow them to seek the satisfaction of customers and other parties involved.

7. Preserve the health and physical integrity of all those working for and on behalf of the company, seeking to promote quality of life.

8. Combat the exploitation of child labor, as well as all forms of forced and compulsory labour.

9. Act so that arbitrary discrimination does not occur in employment or occupation, respecting freedom of association and the effective right to collective bargaining.

 The signing Organization is associated with the Forest Stewardship Council A.C., Oaxaca, Mexico, or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates (hereinafter: FSC®) by being either a member of or having a contractual relationship with FSC®. Hereby the signing Organization explicitly states that it has read and understood the “Policy for the Association of Organizations with FSC®” as published under www.fsc.org.This policy stipulates FSC®’s position with regards to unacceptable activities by organizations and individuals, which already are or would like to be associated with FSC® as well as the mechanism for disassociation.

 In light of the above, the Organization explicitly agrees currently and in the future, as long as the relationship with FSC® exists, not to be directly or indirectly involved in the following unacceptable activities:

 a. Illegal logging or the trade in illegal wood or forest products;
b. Violation of traditional and human rights in forestry operations;
c. Destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations;
d. Significant conversion of forests to plantations or non-forest use;
e. Introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;
f. Violation of any of the ILO Core Conventions as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
